Piece of the Moment

‘Handmade 9ct Gold ring featuring a Half carat/5mm Blue Diamond’

This Piece of the Moment is a 9ct yellow and white gold ring, featuring a Half carat/5mm Blue Diamond that is flawless.

All the gold used in this unique piece is Recycled, the Diamond is Lab-Grown, which means no-one had to risk their lives working hundreds of metres below the ground to get this gem, plus no-one had to dig a great big hole in the planet, which makes this piece as Eco-Friendly as possible!

All my pieces are hallmarked in accordance with the UK’s legislation. My ‘Makers Mark’ is on my pieces and proves
that I, and I alone, made that piece. My hallmark is registered to me at Birmingham’s Assay office.

As a bit of patience therapy this week I have made some long chains. I made each and every link and even soldered the links, so they are very strong even though the chains are light to wear. The chain with the bigger links is 31 inches or 78 cm long and the other chain is 34 inches or 86cm long. Both are made from solid silver wire and can be seen and bought from me at The Indoor Matket in the Shambles, Stroud, Glos. Or contact me at philongold@gmail.com or phone me on 07895 890273. Following on from my last video - it occurred to me that I spoke about a lot of jewellery equipment, maybe very little of it you will know anything about.
So I am going to try and explain a bit about some of the pieces that I mentioned, starting with a Mandrel and a Triblet.
